Powering a New Track to Create a Growth Engine

Midea Building Technology Shines at the RE+ Energy Storage Exhibition in the United States, Leading a New Era of Efficient and Low-Noise Energy Storage

From September 10-12, 2024, the largest clean energy exhibition in North America - RE+ was grandly held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA. This year's exhibition, with the theme of RENEWING WHAT’S POSSIBLE, aims to introduce new technologies, equipment, and solutions for energy storage and utilization to North America, driving the global application of clean energy and related industries. The 3-day offline exhibition attracted over 40,000 energy storage industry experts and 1350 exhibitors. Midea Building Technologies showcased a variety of new energy storage systems, temperature control equipment, and overall solutions at this exhibition, attracting many professionals for inquiries and exchanges.

With the development of society, energy security and energy costs have gradually become important constraints for the development of various industries and businesses. Midea Building Technologies, based on market insights and industry pain points, quickly established a precise temperature control thermal management solution for energy storage systems with years of experience in HVAC product development. According to the application scenarios of energy storage systems, they have introduced liquid cooling solution such as sideward air outlet, upward air outlet, and door-mounted chillers, as well as a temperature control system for new energy vehicle charging piles.

The most eye-catching feature on the Midea Building Technologies booth is the liquid cooling system with a sideward air outlet of 45 kW and a upward air outlet of 50 kW suitable for large energy storage systems. The unit uses Midea's self-developed high-efficiency compressor, combined with a newly designed fan air duct, allowing the product to achieve an energy efficiency ratio exceeding 3.0 and noise levels as low as 70 dB(A), leading the industry into a new era of high efficiency and low noise.

The 7.5 kW door-mounted liquid cooling system also received a lot of attention. As a temperature control equipment for industrial and commercial energy storage scenarios, it can be directly installed on the energy storage cabinet door. The system adopts a front air inlet and outlet design, which is conducive to the energy storage cabinets being placed side by side and back to back, significantly saving the space of the energy storage system and saving users a large amount of rental cost. Thanks to Midea Building Technologies’ all DC inverter technology, this door-mounted type air-cooled temperature control system's energy efficiency and noise performance are also at the industry's leading level.

The explosive growth of new energy vehicles is another opportunity point under different market insights. The faster charging demand, more intensive layout of charging piles, etc., all pose new challenges for temperature control. Midea Building Technologies have launched a brand new charging pile thermal management system, which can escort the stable operation of ultra-fast charging stations.

In addition, at this exhibition, Midea Building Technologies also brought the iEasyEnergy home energy solution, with a very high self-sufficiency rate of energy not only can improve the energy efficiency level of houses, but also meet the aspirations of European and American families for green, low-carbon, minimalist living.

As an important ToB business unit under Midea Group, Building Technologies shoulders the strategic task of being the second growth engine of Midea Group. This RE+ exhibition and related products once again allow professionals to see the rich accumulation and active innovation of Midea in the subdivision field, leading the industry spirit. It is also a strong witness of Midea Building Technologies’ efforts in exploring new tracks and creating new growth engines.
