TRUE Conference, inviting global industry experts to engage in in-depth discussions on topics including next-generation building energy systems, the digital reinvention of building value, and global net-zero practices. During the event, MBT’s five new solution portfolios were launched, covering core areas such as HVAC, smart elevators, building automation, and energy management.

On the morning of July 3, global partners visited the newly completed Shanghai Midea Global Innovation Park to experience firsthand the results of a smart campus in action. Visitors rode intelligent elevators, toured the high-efficiency chiller plant and office areas, and gained an immersive understanding of MBT’s leading-edge technologies in efficient HVAC systems, digital elevators, and smart building management platforms.

At the Global Strategic Partner Conference, Dennis Lee, Vice President of MBT International Business, delivered a keynote titled “Rebuild the Future.” He emphasized that through strategies such as sustainable growth, ecosystem development, localized operations, and lighthouse project showcases, Midea is cultivating a more synergistic global partner ecosystem.

Kerstin Sticht, Chief People Officer of MBT Climate, presented the business roadmap and strategic positioning of MBT Climate. By integrating Midea Europe, CLIVET, and ARBONIA Climate, the business now offers a comprehensive portfolio including heat pumps, VRF systems, fan coil units, ventilation, solar and storage, underfloor heating, and radiators. MBT Climate is not merely a system provider—it offers holistic solutions centered on comfort and energy efficiency, aiming to accelerate the global energy transition.
Driving Industry Collaboration and Global Standards for a Net-Zero Future
Hengyi Zhao, General Secretary of the China Heat Pump Alliance (CHPA), shared insights into global trends for heat pump adoption. As a cornerstone of decarbonizing buildings, heat pumps are entering a golden era of global development. With China being both the largest producer and user of heat pumps—accounting for more than half of the global market—the synergy between China’s supply chain and international partners will be key to unlocking new market potential worldwide.
Bridge Xue, Vice President of AHRI, highlighted the close collaboration between MBT and AHRI in shaping global industry standards. As a member of both the Unitary and Applied Products Sections, Midea actively contributes to the revision and co-development of core standards, further enabling the global reach of high-efficiency products through deep cooperation.
Energy for the Future: Building a Global Smart Energy Ecosystem
Ron Shen, General Manager of Hiconics Overseas, provided a detailed analysis of global energy transition trends and the company’s strategic roadmap. Leveraging a three-tier R&D structure, dual manufacturing bases, and a global supply chain, Hiconics has built a diversified product portfolio spanning home energy storage, balcony PV systems, and high-voltage inverters. With local inventory and service capabilities established in regions such as Europe and Australia, the company continues to empower global clients toward a sustainable and intelligent energy future.
Empowering Sustainable Growth Through Strong Partnerships
Cleaven-Ray Mizzi, General Manager of Kencar Group, shared the company’s development journey in Malta. Through a strategic transformation enabled by MBT, Kencar evolved from a single-system provider into a comprehensive solutions provider. By expanding into the elevator business and targeting premium market segments, Kencar achieved notable business growth and improved customer retention.
