From May 5 to 7, 2026, Midea Building Technologies(MBT) showcased its full-scope HVAC solutions at ARBS 2026 in Melbourne, covering data centers, residential and commercial buildings – reinforcing its commitment to the Australian green building market.

For data centers, MBT launched a full-link thermal management solution integrating chillers, CDU (coolant distribution unit), air walls and intelligent control systems. The solution supports both high and low temperature water output, and offers flexible air-cooled or water-cooled options to meet the needs of different project scales and site conditions – delivering high reliability, low PUE and strong adaptability for new and retrofit data centers.

In the commercial and industrial sector, MBT presented several flagship products built on its proprietary technologies, directly tackling efficiency, space and reliability challenges in green building retrofits.
MagBoost Apex Pro Magnetic Bearing Chiller – Frictionless, Quiet and Efficient
The MagBoost Apex Pro chiller uses Midea’s second-generation oil-free magnetic bearing technology. The compressor rotor runs without contact, eliminating mechanical friction to improve both efficiency and reliability. According to AHRI-certified data, the chiller achieves a COP of up to 6.599 and an IPLV of up to 11.63. It operates at around 70 dB, has a compressor design life of 30 years, and features a compact footprint that fits through standard freight elevators – making it ideal for space-constrained retrofit projects such as hotels, hospitals, data centers and large commercial complexes.

VRF Systems – Eco-Friendly Refrigerant + Smart Management
Based on the new-generation V9 platform, the Midea EasyFit series side-discharge VRF system uses R32 refrigerant with explosion-proof design. It features an embedded energy meter for unit-level energy visualization, and an IP67-rated electrical box. Compared to the previous generation, the system is 16% smaller, offering greater installation flexibility. The Midea iBUILDING management system allows quick connection of both new and existing equipment via a simple gateway, and supports remote monitoring, fault diagnosis and energy management – providing intelligent tools for precise operation and maintenance of commercial buildings.

Green Heating Solutions: For Commercial and Industrial Heat Demand
For applications requiring high-temperature hot water and heating – such as hotels and hospitals – Midea introduced the Mars Large series commercial heat pump. It uses R290 refrigerant, delivers water temperatures up to 85°C, and supports parallel operation of up to eight units, providing an efficient low-carbon option for commercial and industrial heating.

Local Commitment: From Equipment Supplier to Green Building Solutions Provider
In Australia, Midea has built a local network for warehousing, logistics and after-sales service, ensuring timely and reliable local support. Its product solutions are also aligned with local energy upgrade programs, including the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) scheme and the NSW Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), offering low-carbon equipment options for residential and commercial projects.
At ARBS 2026, Midea Building Technologies reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Australia by leveraging core technologies, local operations and a full-scenario portfolio to drive efficient, reliable HVAC solutions for a greener building industry.
