Midea Building Technologies Joins Hands With European Strategic Partners to Build Sustainable Future

From October 23-25, Midea Building Technologies hosted the European Strategic Partner Conference in Limassol, Cyprus, which continued to strengthen cooperation and accelerate market development in the European region. The event showcased Midea’s latest HVAC products and digitalized energy-saving solutions, demonstrating Midea Building Technology’s competitive technologies innovative capabilities to partners. 

The conference was attended by Mr. Petros Xenofontos, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment of Cyprus, and Mr. Yaohui Li, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus. The two esteemed guests each took the stage with speeches, introducing the current state and trends of energy development in Cyprus, the implementation of national policy guidelines, and the vision for a friendly future between China and Cyprus. They also commended the technological strength of Midea Building Technologies products, and extended well wishes for Midea and its partners’ collaborative success.

The conference began with an introduction to the European market strategy by Kobe Peng, General Manager of Midea Building Technologies Europe. Eric Shi, Marketing Director of Midea Building Technologies, followed up with an outline of the company’s brand vision – becoming a global leader in the field of building technology by strengthening partnerships and implanting digitalization and localization practices. 

Kay Liu, Technical Manager of the European Region at Midea Building Technologies announced the 2023-2025 product portfolio to address product planning concerns. The upcoming line-up, he said, will cover central air conditioning, chillers, residential heat pumps, commercial heat pumps, energy management systems, and more. The presentation offered various application case studies that demonstrated Midea’s ability to build industry-leading integrated HVAC solutions that deliver sustainable, efficient, and comfortable living to commercial and residential users around the world.

Europe’s ambitious emissions reduction target, coupled with the energy crisis, have made energy-efficiency a “must-have” feature. Midea’s launch of the iEasyEnergy solution, tailored for the European region, will help users reduce energy bills by utilizing stored solar energy to power household appliances. Jacky Wang, Director of Product Management Department at Midea Building Technologies, gave a detailed introduction to this advanced energy-saving solution while sharing a set of data: in 2022, households in Spain, Italy, and Germany that adopted the iEasyEnergy solution saved up to 3,700 euros.

The iEasyEnergy solution can be applied to a wide range of scenarios covering residential, I&C, and utility settings, all of which have extensive application potential and advantages. With the same initial investment, Midea iEasyEnergy solution can increase PSS by 7%. Under the same PSS, iEasyEnergy solution allows users to reduce initial investments by 3%. Additionally, iEasyEnergy can intelligently adjust operation strategies according to user habits, off-peak electricity prices, and other factors to generate greater financial benefits for its users.

The conference also invited distributor representatives from Cyprus and Spain to share their respective sales strategies and experience in customer service, offering Midea’s European partners with reference and insights for marketing expansion. A special award ceremony was also established recognize and express gratitude to partners with outstanding performances.

The European Strategic Partner Conference enabled Midea Building Technologies to outline its strategic layout for the region and reaffirm its commitment to the European market, as well as demonstrating its dedication to sustainable practices in alignment with the theme “Ever Green, Ever Forward”.
