Saudi Arabia, as China's largest crude supplier for many years, is continuing to be China's largest trading partner in west Asia and Africa. Likewise, China is also Saudi Arabia's largest trading partner. Since “Belt and Road” initiative was proposed in 2013, China has cooperated with Saudi Arabia in many fields.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is a private research university located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 2009 and was ranked as the world's top university according to World University Rankings for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. Besides, KAUST was also Saudi Arabia's first LEED certified project and had the world's largest LEED Platinum campus.

The project was installed with Midea V5 X series VRF which brought high efficiency, high reliability to large commercial buildings. In recent years, as the global HVAC leader, MBT provided comprehensive solutions for Saudi Arabia infrastructure under “Belt and Road” initiative, such as King Road Tower which is the landmark in Jeddah and King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh and so on.
